Liverpool vs West Ham United Betting Tips

Premier League high-flyers Liverpool entertain West Ham United in Saturday's clash at Anfield. The Reds have lost just a solitary league game since their defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in October, and this has propelled them into the playoff positions, two points off second-placed Manchester United. West Ham United, on the other side, have had to contend with injury concerns over the past month, but they are still four points clear of the relegation zone.

Liverpool come into the game on the back of a convincing 5-0 triumph at Porto in the Champions League round of 16 first-leg. The win sees them literally through the quarter-final stage of the elite competition. Their last league outing ended in a 2-0 win over Southampton at St Mary's earlier this month. West Ham United, meanwhile, had no European duties to worry about in midweek, and they bagged their first victory in nearly a month after beating Watford by a 2-1 scoreline on February 10. Their previous meeting with Liverpool ended in a 4-1 loss at the London Stadium back in November.

Liverpool have dominated the proceedings with the Hammers of late with victories in their previous league meetings. With the form of their attacking trident of Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane, and we are fancying a home win at 2/9.

One of the Reds' strengths this season has been their impressive defensive record at Anfield, and they have conceded just nine goals in 14 outings this term, which happens to be the joint-second best defensive record at home, behind only Manchester United. Despite this, we are backing both side to score in the encounter, with the Hammers possessing the talents of Marko Arnautovic, who has been in splendid form over the past few months.

Mohamed Salah notched his 30th goal of a hugely successful campaign against Porto in midweek. The Egyptian has looked unstoppable at times on the right side of the attack, and he scored the first and last goal when the sides met earlier in the campaign.
