Premier League high-flyers Liverpool entertain West Ham United in Saturday’s clash at Anfield. The Reds have lost just a solitary league game since their defeat against Tottenham Hotspur in October, and this has propelled them into the playoff positions, two points off second-placed Manchester United. West Ham United, on the other side, have had to contend with injury concerns over the past month, but they are still four points clear of the relegation zone.
Liverpool come into the game on the back of a convincing 5-0 triumph at Porto in the Champions League round of 16 first-leg. The win sees them literally through the quarter-final stage of the elite competition. Their last league outing ended in a 2-0 win over Southampton at St Mary’s earlier this month. West Ham United, meanwhile, had no European duties to worry about in midweek, and they bagged their first victory in nearly a month after beating Watford by a 2-1 scoreline on February 10. Their previous meeting with Liverpool ended in a 4-1 loss at the London Stadium back in November.
