Gary Neville feels Tevez should be brought Earlier

Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville says that Liverpool could have brought in a player like Carlos Tevez in the summer rather than signing names like Mario Balotelli.

Liverpool have been struggling for form and consistency since the start of the campaign. This is in sharp contrast to the brilliant campaign, even though it ended up trophyless once again, last time around. One of the hallmarks of last season was Liverpool’s ability to come out flying out of the blocks. They have been unable to do so due to several reasons, but fingers of blame have been largely pointed at Balotelli.

Even though the former Manchester City striker cost relatively low at just £ 16 million, he has yet to score a goal in the league. His two goals have come in the Champions League and the League Cup. He once again drew blank in the latest league match, which ended in a 2-1 defeat against Chelsea. Meanwhile, Tevez continues to set the Italian league on fire after scoring a wonderful solo goal in the 7-0 win for Juventus against Parma. It is not surprising that Juventus lead the table due to the goals from the Argentine. Neville says that Balotelli does not work hard enough to fit into this Liverpool team.

“Losing Suárez cost them both quality and spirit. No single player should ever have the club hanging by a thread.Man Utd lost talismanic players but never to the point where the competitive basis dropped below title-winning or Champions League level. There was a greater degree of quality throughout the squad. If you think of the type of player Suárez was for them, Liverpool needed a Carlos Tévez or an Alexis Sánchez,” said the former United captain. If results continue to be poor, Liverpool cannot wait to recall Daniel Sturridge from injury.

Del Bosque Happy To Stay

After Spain’s outing in the World Cup 2014, there have been urges from the fans that all the senior players should be ousted and a young team should be built keeping the next two big assignments i.e. the Euro 16 and WC 18 in mind. But, Vicente Del Bosque, the manager of the team who escaped the axe despite having one of his worst tournaments in Brazil, doesn’t seem to be going to do so.

But, Vicente Del Bosque, the manager of the team who escaped the axe despite having one of his worst tournaments in Brazil, doesn’t seem to be going to do so.
Del Bosque is indeed looking to rebuild the team, but, he is trying to do so by blending the experience and young blood, not by changing the entire complexion of the squad. By his selections for the Euro qualifiers, he has made it absolutely clear that he will not overlook the senior players at least for the near future.
This sort of situation had arisen in front of the Germany boss Joachim Low as well after the defeat of his team against Italy in the semi final of the previous Euro Championships. The fans were furious at the repeated failures of the team in the knockout phases of the big tournaments and they were calling for the head of the seniors. But, Low remained patient. He stuck with the same personnel and those players eventually won Germany the World Cup this year.
There is no reason why this can’t happen in Spain’s case. Mind you, the seniors in the Spanish side are not that old. The likes of Mata, Fabregas and Busquets are all well below 30. They have got to an age now where they should be playing their best Football for the next 2-3 years. Also, their presence can help somebody like Munir El Haddadi who is supposed to be the next superstar in the making for Spain.
So, Vicente Del Bosque is right in keeping some of these seniors in the mix as they can still provide so much to Spanish Football.

The new rules and regulations will not allow people to bet on managerial departures or sacking as well as the possibility of transfers or players being signed to a different team, this was something that a few years ago was allowed but will be prohibited from the start of the next season in a few weeks away from now.
Whether the bet is made in person, online through the telephone or any other means it does not matter as the people involved in the betting will be sanctioned and have serious consequences.
The former player of As.Roma Simone Farina a few years ago played a pivotal role during the 2011 Italian football scandal which involved a number of football-related figures being arrested and a number of other sanctions after they were allegedly believed to be match fixing.
Simone Farina was contacted by his former As.Roma teammate Alessandro Zamperini who offered him €200,000 in exchange for Farina to alter the result of an Italian Cup match between Cesena and Gubbio in November of 2011. Farina denied this offer as he instead reported it to the police and with all of his evidence, the police later managed to arrest 17 people that were involved in this type of betting and scandals.
Farina recently spoke about the new rules and changes that have been done as he said: “Footballers need to be strong and say no to match-fixing. The FA is working hard to educate children, footballers, coaches and referees. It’s everybody’s responsibility to play fair.”

Throughout her career she has earned a number of accolades which includes Olympic Gold Medals, CONCACAF Gold Cups as well as being named as the U.S Soccer Female Athlete of the Year in 2009.

But things aren’t pitch perfect for the veteran shot-stopper as she was arrested recently after an argument with family members turned from bad to worse in a matter of minutes. Police officers had to arrive to the Seattle home where Hope Solo lives with her husband, the former NFL player Jerramy Stevens.

According to statements released by the police officers who arrived to the home of Solo, she was drunk and angry. Hope Solo was the main assailant which led to physical altercations between the American goalkeeper and her sisters as well as nephews who ended up with clear injuries in their bodies.

It was later revealed to the media that there was a party at her house which went out of control at a certain point of time.

Hope Solo later went on apologizing to her fans through social media as she wrote on her facebook page: “I love my family dearly. We, like all families, have our challenges but my sincere hope is that we are able to resolve this situation as a family,” she said. Adversity has always made us stronger and I know this situation will be no different. I understand that, as a public figure, I am held to a higher standard of conduct. I take seriously my responsibilities as a role model and sincerely apologize to everyone I have disappointed.”

The American goalkeeper pleaded not guilty to all the charges that was launched at her in court and was released without bail.
