Netherlands vs England Betting Tips

Gareth Southgate’s England are scheduled to face the Netherlands at the semi-final stage of the Nations League next week. The Three Lions have had a brilliant run over the past year where they made the semi-final stage of the World Cup while also beating the likes of Spain and Croatia en route to topping their Nations League group.

Since then, Southgate has experimented with a number of younger players getting the chance to impress, and the Three Lions boss is certainly spoilt for choices when they face off against the Netherlands, who have gone through a fascinating resurgence under the guidance of Ronald Koeman over the past year.

The Dutch were given little hope of emerging from their Nations League group which possessed France and Germany, and their beginning was not the best after an opening loss similar to England. However, they were able to redeem themselves with three wins on the bounce including a 2-0 away triumph over Germany which relegated Joachim Loew’s side to League B.

England and Netherlands are now set to face each other in the last four of the Nations League in Portugal and the game promises to be an exciting encounter with match-winners in either team. Still, the former are likely to hold the edge with their big-game experience and we are fancying them to claim a place in the final where they could face either Portugal or Switzerland.

Elsewhere, the Three Lions have shown good development in terms of their attacking progress of late and this has partly come about from the emergence of Raheem Sterling in the national colours. The Manchester City star has been criticized in the past for his struggles with the Three Lions but he has answered the critics with six goals in the past five caps for the country. We are backing him to score against the Dutch.
