Manchester United and Chelsea receive boost in signing Moussa Dembele

Dembele has contributed 19 goal during the course of the current campaign and he has become more influential over the past few months after the season-ending injury for Memphis Depay. As such, it did not make any sense to part ways with the former Celtic man last month but they may not interfere with the player’s decision when the transfer window reopens this summer.

According to various reports, Les Gones have placed a £60m price tag on the head of the Frenchman and they are likely to stick with the valuation during the summer. Obviously, the club don’t face the pressure to sell with more than three years remaining on the striker’s contract but they are expecting offers on the table with Chelsea and Manchester United among the interested clubs.

Chelsea are eyeing a new competitor to Tammy Abraham upfront and the same is the case for United. The Red Devils have offered Anthony Martial with the regular chance to lead the line this season but he has gone through a familiar pattern during the second half of the season where he seems to go off the boil. As a result, they recently made the loan signing of Odion Ighalo from Shanghai Shenhua and that is regarded as a gamble for the moment.
