Everton vs Wolverhampton Wanderers Betting Tips

The weekend’s clash at Goodison Park could be a potentially gloomy affair, with neither the Toffees nor Wolves having set the Premier League alight with their performance. In fairness to Wolves, they have had the excursions of the Europa League and that has somewhat contributed to their three successive draws to start the Premier League campaign.

Still, Nuno’s side can take heart from the fact that they have given a good account of themselves without getting beaten. The Wolves face another stern test of their credentials against the Toffees on Sunday, considering they will go into the game on the back of the second leg of the Europa League playoff against Torino.

The west Midlands outfit have certainly excelled with their scoring in the European qualifying rounds but that has not been the case in the Premier League with just two goals from three games. Nonetheless, they have been tidy at the back with a three-man defence and roving wing-backs while Ruben Neves and Joao Moutinho have also kept things tight in the centre of the park.

Meanwhile, the Toffees have managed just one more point than the Wolves this term. A goalless draw at Crystal Palace was followed by a close 1-0 win at Watfordbut they have since succumbed to a disappointing 2-0 loss on the road to Aston Villa. They should be well prepared for the game ahead of Wolves, who have a mid-season contest against Torino, but they are still concerns regarding the firepower upfront.

Marco Silva’s side have improved defensively with 10 clean sheets in the past 15 matches but there are concerns over the scoring form. The Merseyside outfit have netted just once in the current league campaign and it remains to be seen whether new signings Alex Iwobi and Moise Kean can improve the statistic while combining with the likes of Richarlison and Gylfi Sigurdsson in the attack.
Judging by the recent fortunes of both teams, we are anticipating a goalless stalemate.
