CHELSEA WANT WIN
Chelsea will be looking to inflict a third straight defeat against Manchester City this campaign, as they face the Premier league's third placed team at Etihad stadium in the FA Cup on Saturday. Chelsea have already beaten City twice this campaign.
The first time, they needed an injury time goal from Fernando Torres in order to get three points. The second time around, Chelsea were much more impressive after inflicting a 1-0 defeat at the Etihad stadium. This brought an end to the unbeaten run City had at the ground.
Jose Mourinho's men will be coming into the encounter on the back of a 1-1 draw at West Brom on Tuesday night, while City had a complete week of rest after their match against Sunderland was called off due to bad weather.
Even though Chelsea have beaten City twice in the league, they are rated at 12/5 by several bookmakers to win the match. City, being the home team, are given odds of around 11/10 to win the match. A draw, which will take the match into a replay that will be played at Stamford Bridge, has been given odds of around 5/2 by popular bookmakers.
City are favourites to score in this match after they have failed to do so only once in the last 55 competitive matches. Incidentally, Chelsea were the last team to stop City from scoring at the Etihad stadium.
"We have a very difficult draw in the FA Cup. We play the best team in the country in their house. We have beaten them twice but that makes it even more difficult to beat them for a third time. And if people were saying that the last time we did it there was no Fernandinho and no Sergio Aguero, the first time we beat them they were playing," said Mourinho about this match.
