MOYES IS FAVOURITE

Even the Everton manager David Moyes was the favourite to take over from Harry Redknapp as the manager of Tottenham, the latest soccer betting odds predicted that it will be former Chelsea manager Andre Villas-Boas who will be taking over the hot seat at White Hart Lane.

The Portuguese manager has been out of work after having been sacked by the London club back in March. Even though he guided FC Porto to an incredible four trophies in one season, he has been extremely poor in his spell at Chelsea. He has been unable to manage the big egos at the club.

However, he has become the firm favourite for the job if the football odds are to be believed. The bookmakers have slashed the odds for Andre Villas-Boas to become the next Tottenham manager. This comes as a major surprise given that many predicted that it would be Everton manager David Moyes who will be getting the offer from Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy after having done such an extraordinary job with the Merseyside club in the last 10 years. However, Moyes has said that he has not received any formal offer from Tottenham to take over at white Hart Lane.

Meanwhile, it is also thought that Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is also looking at the possibility of making France national team manager Laurent Blanc as the man to succeed Harry Redknapp. The former Portsmouth manager recently left the club after differences between him and the chairman became extraordinary. It was thought that Harry Redknapp was looking at bringing in a number of players in the summer transfer window, while Daniel Levy was quite content with the squad at the club right now. Andre Villas-Boas is thought to have insisted the club upon the retaining of star midfielder Luka Modric.
